Hi Charlene,
The transportation options at Disney World are one of the things that keep me coming back year after year. I know that sounds a little silly, but I am a true passenger princess. There is nothing better than arriving at your vacation destination and knowing that you truly don't have to worry about anything until you head home!
Transportation at Disney World only runs between the resorts and the theme parks or Disney Springs. Since
Disney's Boardwalk area is part of the resort transportation, you will need to head back to a theme park for your journey home. Keep in mind that transportation will only run from the theme parks back to the resorts until 1 hour after the theme park closes. If you are planning to party the night away at
Atlantic City Dance Hall or
Jellyrolls (which I highly recommend) your only late-night option may be an Uber or Lyft. These are readily available at Disney World and a convenient option when you are in a pinch.
If you are heading back to your resort within the hours that theme parks are still open, the quickest way back to your resort is just a boat and bus ride away. Hop on one of the
BoardWalk Villas water taxis headed to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Once you arrive at Hollywood Studios, you will be a quick walk away from the
bus station where you can catch a bus directly back to
Disney's Port Orleans Riverside. Do not make the mistake of taking a boat or walking to EPCOT. This will take you to the back entrance of EPCOT where you will need to walk through the entire theme park before you get to the bus station located at the theme park entrance.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
