Welcome aboard, Jessica! Planning your first cruise with Captain Mickey Mouse is always so exciting! Of course, the best part is actually setting sail, but planning is half the fun!
Your kids are at such great ages to enjoy the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab, two of the magical
Youth Clubs available on each ship. My family and I have enjoyed all four of Disney Cruise Line's ships, and though I shouldn't have a favorite, we really do! Ever since the Disney Magic was completely re-imagined last fall, it's become our favorite ship. The brand new Youth spaces are wonderful, the After Hours clubs for adults are such fun, and of course they still offer all the great entertainment you'd expect from Disney. Since you're choosing between a four-night on the Dream and a five-night on the Magic, I'd choose the five-night for sure, no matter which ship. I promise that no matter how long you're onboard, you'll still leave that final morning wishing for just one more day! Five nights will allow you to enjoy more magic onboard. Plus, with the Magic being a smaller ship, you'll get to enjoy a smaller, more intimate experience, allowing you to really get involved and get to know the Cast Members even more!
We love the Dream as well, in fact, we're setting sail this month on the Dream, but for your first cruise, having not experienced any of Disney's ships, a five-night sailing on the Disney Magic will be the perfect vacation! Your girls will love to meet the Disney Princesses, watch top-notch Broadway-style shows, and if they're brave, even take a ride down the thrilling AquaDunk, followed by some wet and wild fun in the new AquaLab!
