How and when should I plan my families character breakfast/lunch/dinner? How do I know what one to choose to get the most for my money?

Hi, Catrina!  Character meals are very popular, and they can book very quickly.  You can begin booking dining reservation 180 days before the day you wish to dine, and if you are a Walt Disney World resort guest, you can make them for up to 10 days - so 190 days out!

If you're looking for the biggest bang for your buck, consider the all you care to eat buffet meals.  You'll find Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort, the Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom, 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian, and breakfast at the Cape May restaurant at the Beach Club are popular, plus they allow you to eat as much as you want.  My kids are not huge breakfast eaters, so I rarely book a character breakfast.  It just isn't a value for our family.  But if I do a big buffet lunch, I can usually get away with a very light breakfast and a small dinner.

You can find fairly accurate pricing for dining options if you visit allears.net.  Click on Walt Disney World at the top, then the dining tab to explore some of the options available to you.

    I hope this helps!
