If I plan to enter Magic Kingdom the morning of MNSSH, do I need to purchase 1 magic kingdom ticket? Or one magic kingdom ticket for the day time and 1 for the event? Also do you have to leave the park if you purchase for magic kingdom in the day time?

    Hiya Amber,

Welcome to planDisney. In just a few weeks you will be on your way to  Walt Disney World Resort. Not only will you be able to take part in all the exciting changes that are part of The World's Most Magical Celebration, but you will also be able to enjoy the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. You and your taste buds can stroll The World Showcase, enjoying delicious food and beverage options from 6 continents. Come hungry!

Another great advantage to a fall visit, is the chance to attend Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. This special ticket event occurs at Magic Kingdom on select evenings from mid August to Halloween. Party-goers can enjoy enchanting entertainment, spirited character interactions, most attractions (some even have fun Halloween added touches), trick or treating at locations throughout the theme park and more. I have heard rumors that even the Headless Horseman likes to attend these gatherings!

The Halloween party does require a separate ticket to attend and while the party runs from 7pm to Midnight, Guests with a ticket to the party, can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4pm. On scheduled party dates, Guests with a daily admission ticket and theme park reservation can enjoy Magic Kingdom until 6pm, at which time they will need to exit unless they have also purchased a ticket to Mickey's Halloween gathering. You do not need to worry about making a theme park reservation for the nighttime party - it is not required for the special event.  This means you would need to have an admission ticket for the day, and a separate special event ticket for the evening festivities. We often find "party day" a perfect time to sleep in, enjoy the resort swimming pool or do a little shopping at Disney Springs and then head over to Magic Kingdom in time for the 4pm entrance time.

I hope this information helps you decide the plan that works best for you and that you have a spooktacular visit! If you have any further planning questions, please stop back and see me.

    With pixie dust,
    Margaret
