I want to plan a Disneyland vacation. I planed one many years ago and was able to make payments on it up until a week before the trip. Is that option still available or do I need to pay for it all upfront?

Welcome to planDisney, Zoila! I'm excited to hear you are thinking about booking a vacation at the Happiest Place on Earth! If you haven't been in a few years, there are so many new things, including Avengers Campus (home to all things Marvel) and Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. You've come to the right place, and I'm happy to help!

If you're thinking about purchasing a Disneyland Resort vacation package, the $200 deposit is due at the time of booking, and the remaining balance is due 30 days prior to arrival. Packages include your theme park tickets and a stay at one of the three Disneyland Resort Hotels or at a nearby Good Neighbor Hotel. For room-only reservations, the deposit of the first night's room rate plus tax is due at the time of booking, and the remaining balance is due at the time of check-in. You are welcome to make payments as frequently as you'd like between those two dates. The easiest way to do this is through the "My Disneyland" tab on the Disneyland website. Then go to "My Hotel Reservations" and click on the "Make a Payment" button. You can also make payments over the phone by calling the Walt Disney Travel Company at (714) 520-5060.

Currently, hotel rates are available through the end of 2022. Usually, packages for the next year are released in the summer. If you're planning to visit in 2023, then start checking soon; I'd guess June or July. To make sure you are signed up to receive email notifications about vacation packages, log into your Disneyland Resort account on the website, click your name at the top, and select "Communication Preferences."

I hope this helps, Zoila! Remember that the planDisney team is all ears if you need any more advice!
