Hello! I would like to plan a Disney World trip in 2025 for myself and my 6 year old son. I'm on a budget but would like to see options for a budget hotel vs. a resort. I would like to spend a week there. Maybe 2-3 parks, 2 days per park.

    Hello Disney Traveler!

    Welcome to planDisney!

Now is the time to plan! With your son at 6-years old, he is the perfect age to visit! My family is always on a budget so I completely understand your question. First, take a look at the Disney Resorts Collection hotels. There are a variety of options and they all are quite lovely. When we are really determined to save money, we do some price comparisons between Disney's All-Star Sports Resort, All-Star Movies Resort, and All-Star Music Resort

My family prefers to book a vacation package with the resort hotel and theme park tickets. To get an accurate sense of the price, just enter the dates you plan to visit in the search feature and then select the type of theme park tickets you want and the number of theme park ticket days. Since there are four theme parks and they are all unique, I would actually do a 4-Day Standard Theme Park Ticket. We took our girls to the Walt Disney World® Resort for the first time when they were five years old and they absolutely loved each park. We also have done 5-Day Standard Theme Park Tickets to visit each park once and then visited Magic Kingdom for an additional day. Just use the search feature and you can start comparing prices for the dates of your visit.

Also, keep an eye on the Special Offers page to see what offers might be released that are available for the dates of your visit! Since you are staying for a week, I also suggest that you consider Disney's Pop Century Resort and Disney's Art of Animation Resort. Both are super cute and have access to the Disney Skyliner in addition to Walt Disney World® Bus Service.

I do have on additional suggestion - consider staying one night less and then consider other resort hotel options. We started doing that so that we could stay in deluxe or deluxe villa resorts and have access to more dining options and amenities at the resort hotel. Disney's Contemporary Resort is one of our favorite resort hotels because it is actually within walking distance to Magic Kingdom!

Of course, if you want additional help, you can call to speak to a cast member. They can help you price different options. Sending a little extra pixie dust hoping you get that vacation package booked!

    Magic and memories,
    Donyell
