Hi I would like to plan a Disney Cruise for Nov 2024 using membership points. Where can I find the possible cruises destinations in this month? Is the only way to book a Cruise being a member is by phone? Are there any benefits being a member on board?

    Hello Yasuji,

Welcome to planDisney! I'm always happy to chat with a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member and discussing Disney Cruise Line voyages brings me joy! I recently sailed on the Disney Dream with my fellow planDisney classmates and had an incredible time. We explored so much of the ship and disembarked with many new memories.

I love exploring the many Disney Cruise Line destinations and dreaming of my family's next magical cruise. To see the available cruises for a specific month, head to the Disney Cruise Line website and select "Destinations" at the top of the page. Click on the blue button at the right that says "View Cruises". Here, you can select which details you'd like to filter to find the cruises that match your criteria. Currently, 35 cruises are displayed with a November 2024 departure.

One thing I love about a Disney Vacation Club Membership is the flexibility offered to Members when personalizing travel. Members can not only book both Disney and non-Disney Resorts but can also convert Vacation Points to Reservation Points and book a cruise with Disney Cruise Line. You'll need to phone Member Services for assistance as they will have to confirm the availability on your selected cruise and they will manage the transaction. When using Points for a Disney Cruise, there are a few important details:

    • There is a non-refundable fee of $95 (subject to change) when converting Vacation Points to Reservation Points
    • Your reservation must be booked before the last four months of your Use Year if cruising that year (this is called the Rule of Four)
    • Converting Vacation Points to Reservation Points is final. If you modify or cancel a cruise booking, you cannot use Reservation Points to book at any Disney Vacation Club Resorts. They would instead need to be used by the end of the Use Year to book a different Disney Collection exchange.

Benefits are subject to change, but as of now, DVC Members enjoy a 10% discount on Digital Photo packages, 10% off select purchases of $50 or more at participating shops, and 20% off treatments at Senses Salon & Spa. For the most up-to-date perks and discounts, be sure to check the Member Benefits page on the DVC website regularly. There is a Disney Vacation Club desk (usually located near the Front Desk) where eligible Members can visit to receive a small gift each day of the cruise.

Yasuji, I hope this information helps with your vacation planning. There is so much to explore when considering a Disney Cruise! If you have any other questions, please feel free to visit us again at planDisney. My planDisney friends JoVonn, Shannon and Tracie are Disney Cruise Line experts and are happy to help!

    Welcome Home,
