We plan to make dining reservations for Disneyland 60 days in advance of our trip there this fall. At what time of day can someone start making reservations? If you are staying at a Disney hotel, can you book for more than one day at a time?

Hello there Kathryn!  Thanks for bringing another great question back to planDisney!

I highly recommend making dining reservations as soon as you can, it sounds like you have a great plan already.  Most dining reservations become available 60 days in advance at approximately 6:00 AM Pacific Time in the Disneyland app or on the Disneyland site.  However, certain reservations do not always become available 60 days in advance, so I recommend that you keep checking all the way up to your trip!  This is especially true for any special dining experiences around holidays such as Halloween or Holiday Time.

At the current time, you are only able to make dining reservations 60 days in advance.  You will not be able to book for your length of stay if it extends past 60 days in advance.  This is also the case even if you are staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel.  I like to set a reminder in my mobile phone calendar each morning to make sure I'm securing those popular dining reservations prior to my trip!

We love to book a character dining experience on the day we arrive, or on a day that we're not planning to visit the theme parks.  It gives us that extra dose of magic, you get to enjoy a great meal, and it saves us time since we get to see our favorite Disney pals during the dining experience instead of waiting in line at the parks!  Mickey's Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet at Storytellers Cafe is a favorite of ours, as well as Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel since you can also enjoy the character dining experience during dinner.

I hope this information is helpful as you plan your trip, Kathryn!  I'm happy to help with any other dining or planning questions, so don't hesitate to come back to planDisney.

    Have a magical day!
