Welcome to planDisney, Rachel!
I am so happy to help you plan a "jolly holiday" at
Disney's Magic Kingdom Park! The feeling of nostalgia, charm, and magic you feel once you step foot on is unlike any other, so let's get started! First, you can print off a
Guide Map from the Walt Disney World Resort UK website to use as a physical guide. You can also use the
Hours & Events Calendar to keep track of shows and entertainment for the day. Typically, you can see up to 75 days out before your check-in date, so if your trip dates are farther out, you can look later.
If your visit is after July 24th, I suggest purchasing a
Lightning Lane Multi Pass when you arrive in the United States. This exciting new feature on the My Disney Experience app will replace Disney Genie+ in a few weeks, and what's great about it is that if your visit to Magic Kingdom is a few days after your arrival, you can book up to three attraction experiences for Magic Kingdom three days in advance (pending availability), and if you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, seven days in advance. Being able to reserve these passes in advance will be a game-changer! I was just at Magic Kingdom this weekend, and I suggest reserving a pass for Tiana's Bayou Adventure, Peter Pan's Flight, and Haunted Mansion. Another great feature about LLMP is that once you redeem your first experience, you can open up your My Disney Experience mobile app and reserve another attraction (subject to availability). For top-tier attractions like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and TRON Lightcycle/Run, consider purchasing a Lightning Lane Single Pass, which lets you book up to two of these experiences daily. Another great feature about LLMP is that you can book your attraction experiences for your entire stay in one sitting, as opposed to daily!
To schedule attraction experiences for everyone in your group, make sure they are all a part of your Family & Friends List! Log in to your
MyDisney account on your computer, and in the drop-down menu, select "My Family & Friends". If your Guests are under "My Family & Friends", you will able to book advanced dining reservations and reserve attraction experiences for them. If not, select "Add a Guest", and follow the steps to add them. You can begin making advanced dining reservations 60 days before your arrival.
Rachel, I hope all of this information was helpful! Thank you for visiting planDisney, and I hope you have a wonderful holiday! Please visit planDisney again if you need additional pixie dust planning your visit. You've got a friend in me!
