I would like to plan a cruise with my family which includes 7 adults and 2 children. What is the best room setup for this size of group. Within reason, I would be interested in concierge level. We don't have a ship preference. looking for 2026

    Hi there, Cynthia!

Thanks so much for cruising by planDisney with your question. Planning a Disney Cruise for a big crew like yours sounds like a blast! I’ve sailed with groups of all sizes (from just me and my husband to a party of 25), and one thing’s for sure...the more, the merrier when you’re at sea with Captain Mickey!

For a group of 7 adults and 2 children, I’d recommend looking into connecting staterooms, which are available across the Disney Cruise Line fleet. They offer the perfect mix of togetherness and personal space. If you’d like a private verandah, choosing two connecting verandah staterooms is a great option. And here’s a fun tip: you can ask your stateroom host to open the divider between your balconies, turning it into one big shared space to enjoy those ocean breezes together.

Since you mentioned interest in the Concierge level, you might consider booking two connecting Concierge Family Oceanview Staterooms with Verandah. These staterooms sleep up to five guests each and give you access to the Concierge Lounge, priority boarding, and top-tier service throughout your voyage. My family has enjoyed this experience, and it truly makes your vacation feel even more magical. Concierge availability is limited and books quickly, so I recommend calling Disney Cruise Line directly to check on connecting room options and make specific requests.

As for where to sail, there are so many exciting itineraries to look forward to in 2026! Whether you’re dreaming of turquoise waters and island time in the Bahamas or Caribbean, exploring the Mexican Riviera from California, or eyeing something farther like the South Pacific, there’s something for every family’s travel style. Two especially unique options to consider are a 10-night Southern Caribbean cruise from Port Canaveral or a 7-night Eastern Caribbean sailing with stops at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.

No matter which itinerary or ship you choose, you’re in for unforgettable memories. Here’s to smooth planning and magical adventures ahead. "Sea” ya real soon!
