Ahoy, Joan!
Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your question warms my heart because I can't think of anything sweeter than experiencing a magical vacation with one of your grandchildren. And a Disney Cruise is a perfect choice for creating some priceless memories that I know you'll both cherish for yEARs to come. There's so much to enjoy together onboard while still having time to let your granddaughter participate in the
Oceaneer Club and
Oceaneer Lab. This will allow you to experience some of the adult-only offerings like curling up with a good book by the
Quiet Cove Pool or indulging in a massage at the
Senses Spa. I know the two of you will have a marvelous time!
Joan, you've asked a great question about what happens when you need to modify a name on your cruise reservation. Rest assured Disney Cruise Line understands plans change from time to time, so they do have a non-penalty window that allows you to make a change for free up to 45 days before departure. If you need to change the name after that date, a $50.00 per person fee will be charged (always subject to change). I hope that will give you enough time to figure everything out. If you do have to change the name, let Disney Cruise Line know by calling (800) 951-3532 with your reservation number.
I'm so glad I had the opportunity to assist you with your question. We hope you will reach back out if you think of any others. We are always happy to help!
Happy Planning!
Nancy
