I plan to bring my 12 year old son for a week in the middle of September. I do not know how to begin planning the trip. Most packages are for 4 people, and there are 2 of us. Where do I begin the planning process.

Hi Cindy! What a fantastic mother/ son vacation you're planning. No worries at all about the size of your party. The family of four is used as an example to give a general idea about costs. My daughter and I travel the two of us, and the package is tailored to meet our needs. Start by clicking here and entering your dates. You will see that there are also dropdown menus to enter the number in your party. Once availability comes up, you will be able to get an idea of price, including park tickets and dining plan if you so choose. I always price out several resort options. This will help you determine whether a value, moderate or deluxe resort will best meet your needs. Once you've determined that, I recommend searching the Moms panel site and reading feedback on the resorts in your category, which will help you in deciding where you want to stay. Free Disney Dining Plan is available for your dates, so be sure to book by August 14 to take advantage of this great deal!
