Hi Jiyoon,
The Apple Vision Pro is such a cool new device and a significant investment. The use cases are still emerging and traveling with it is such a fun way to test out how the device can be utilized to its fullest. Using the Apple Vision Pro in conjunction with the
My Disney Experience App is such a creative and cool idea.
Since the device is so new, Disney World does not have any specific guidance available for its use within the theme parks. It is not specifically listed on the
prohibited items list but there is always some grey area that can be used by on-site security when making a decision about letting a device into the theme parks. There is a rule about wearing face masks that obscure your face and states that masks "must provide unobstructed peripheral vision at all times with openings that allow the eyes to be fully seen." I have heard some Apple Vision Pro users saying that they were denied entry to the theme parks under this reasoning. The goal is to make sure that guests are safe while inside the theme parks and have proper sightlines so that no one gets injured.
If it were me, I would stick to using it at the resort for now until official guidance is released. I have seen a few images of people in the theme parks with them so you can always take the device with you to security and ask. The rules for new devices change regularly as Disney tests their use in the parks so it is worth a shot if you are really excited about using the Apple Vision Pro in the theme parks. If you want to try to bring the device, be prepared to be asked to return it to your resort or car if they deem it unsafe.
If you have not tried it yet, make sure to check out
Disney+ on Apple Visions Pro. It looks so cool and is one of the use cases I am excited about.
Happy Planning
Jenna
