    I would like to plan a 50th birthday celebration on 23rd Oct - any suggestions as this is a Sunday evening and there are no fireworks or Cirque de Soleil shows on

    Celebrating a birthday at Disney is a very unique experience.  On October 23rd there are fireworks at Epcot.  The show is called Illuminations.  It is a fireworks and laser show.  On October 23rd Illuminations will be shown at 9:00pm.  Click here to read more about Illuminations.  Another option is a hot air balloon ride.  Characters in Flight is located at Downtown Disney.  It takes guests 400 feet into the air where you will see beautiful views of all of Disney World.  Click here to read more about Characters in Flight.
