Hello there, Tiare! Welcome to planDisney.
Star Wars Nites are always dates long remembered, and as a fellow Star Wars fan, I completely understand the anticipation surrounding their return. The excitement builds every year, and I’m keeping a close eye on when tickets will be released for the 2026 event!
I have great news for your plans! During the 3-hour mix-in period prior to Star Wars Nite, you can absolutely make dining reservations for restaurants with availability. This is a fantastic strategy, since it lets you enjoy a relaxing meal during the overlap time (and then dedicate the event hours entirely to character encounters, entertainment, and all the exclusive offerings). Dining reservations typically become available on the
Disneyland website and
Disneyland app approximately 60 days before the dining date. I recommend setting a calendar reminder so you can secure your preferred location right when reservations open.
I also suggest keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for updates about next year’s event. I attended last year, and a few standout moments included the lightsaber meetup led by Rey, a costume cavalcade down Main Street, U.S.A., and rare character sightings. Guests had opportunities to meet Han Solo and Princess Leia, pose for a holo-pic with C-3PO, and even spot Queen Amidala alongside Anakin Skywalker. One of my favorite offerings was The Lightsaber Instructional (which was such a unique experience and added an extra dose of excitement to an already unforgettable night).
Outside the event itself, you may also want to check out
Seasons of the Force, which is available to all Disneyland guests. Last year, the celebration featured Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga, a stunning nighttime spectacular that illuminated the skies over Batuu with iconic moments from the saga, all accompanied by John Williams’ legendary score. I watched it from near the Millennium Falcon in Galaxy’s Edge, and seeing those scenes unfold above the spires was an emotional highlight of the season.
Over in Tomorrowland, Hyperspace Mountain often makes a high-speed appearance during the celebration, launching guests into an X-wing battle over Jakku. And Star Tours – The Adventures Continue keeps things fresh with randomized destinations across the galaxy (you never know which planet you’ll land on next).
As you can see, Tiare, the Force is especially strong at Disneyland during the spring. Be sure to follow the Disney Parks Blog for the latest announcements, and if you’d like any additional planning guidance, we at planDisney would be happy to help you chart your course.
May the Force be with you,
David
