We plan to attend the MNSSHP on Oct 22. There are 5 adults plus 2 kids (5 and 2) If the grandparents don't care about rides, will they need to buy the special tickets or can they just stay with there regular admission and not partake in the activities.

Everyone over the age of three will need a Halloween Party ticket in order to be in the park during Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party. Cast members will be looking to make sure that guests in the park are wearing the special Halloween party wristband that is issued to ticket holders. Guests without the wristband will be asked to purchase a ticket or exit the park.

As an adult who has been to MNSSHP myself, I can assure that there is plenty for grown-ups to see and do during the party, even if they never set foot on a ride. The special parade and fireworks are worth the price of admission all on their own. The costumes on the characters, and on the other guests, are often incredible. And how could the grandparents miss an opportunity to take their grandkids Trick-or-Treating inside the Magic Kingdom?

Be sure to bring your camera to capture these special moments.
