Lisa,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
If I read your question correctly, you are interested in where you might find more standard style rooms at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort, rather than the Family Suites. As it happens, yes, the Little Mermaid section of the Art of Animation resort has standard rooms that come with 1 King Bed or 2 Queen Beds. I stayed in one of these just over a year ago, and I loved it!
I am not sure if I felt more "Under the Sea" when in my room, or when walking the grounds of the resort, passing by Ariel, Sebastian, King Triton, and so many of their ocean-bound friends.
I have recommended to many friends to either stay at or visit the Art of Animation resort to take in the over-the-top public space atmosphere. You really do feel as if you have been dropped into the movies, whether it is
Cars,
The Little Mermaid,
Finding Nemo, or
The Lion King. These standard rooms in the Little Mermaid section can make your stay a daily escape into the movies!
BONUS TIP #1Some guests may not think much of food court dining, but if you are hungry, you will find that
The Landscape of Flavors at the Art of Animation is a great place to grab a bite. The menu variety is far broader than you might expect.
BONUS TIP #2If you really want a good morning cup of java and are using the
Disney Skyliner to get to your theme park adventure that day, there is a Joffrey's Coffee & Tea Company kiosk that is a free-standing booth located by the Caribbean Beach Disney Skyliner station. You can enjoy a drink on your travels and arrive charged and ready to go!
