Welcome back to planDisney Cyndi.
Oh boy! How great to have friends with a home near
Walt Disney World Resort. Those are my kind of friends!
Magic Kingdom is my absolute favorite Disney World theme park, so I understand wanting to spend as much time there as possible, but I also know a full day at Magic Kingdom can be exhausting. There are so many things to see and do, plus the Florida sunshine can definitely drain your batteries, so you will be happy to hEAR there are a number of perfect places to recharge without having to leave the park.
First, there are numerous benches throughout the theme park, with many of them offering plenty of shade throughout the day. Additionally, you will find a couple of designated relaxation stations throughout the park offering tables and chairs for you to rest and regroup. One relaxation station can be found as you cross from Adventureland to Frontierland (not too far from The Pirates of the Caribbean), and our favorite is over at Tomorrowland Terrace. It is the perfect place to enjoy some shade and take in views of Cinderella Castle at the same time. Keep an eye out for the Relaxation Station signage. If you have small children and need a little time to nurse, change diapers or simply take a breath, don't forget to visit the
Baby Care Center. It is located near Crystal Palace and is a great place to attend to your child's needs.
On top of all of these, there are a number of rides and shows where you can find not only a comfortable seat, but also enjoy fantastic entertainment at the same time. A fan favorite ride is The People Mover over in Tomorrowland. This ride is a slow moving tram that travels around Tomorrowland, providing you with a view into Space Mountain. Some great show options include
Country Bear Jamboree and
Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room.
The Hall of Presidents is a wonderful look into American history and the U.S. Presidency, plus it is a 25 minute show in a very dark, cool and comfortable theater. I will be honest that my boys have taken many catnaps here over the years. And, I saved my absolute favorite place to relax for last -
Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress. Located in Tomorrowland, this attraction provides Guest with a look at the evolution of technology and will have you humming along before the show is over.
I hope this helps you find the perfect place to rest before tackling
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. If I can help with any additional questions, please stop back and
see me.
Hope to see ya real soon,
Margaret
