Is there a place within the parks for small children to nap? We are planning to visit the Magic Kingdom and have not booked a room as it will be a one day trip, but have a 3 Year old who will likely need a nap.

Hiya, Ashley! Thanks for bringing this great question our way!

I'm so excited to hear that you're making plans to spend a very special day in Magic Kingdom Park with your Mouseketeer! I think it's really wise to plan ahead for an ideal place to nap. If we're talking in terms of Snow White, napping is a necessity so your little Happy can get Sleepy without turning into Grumpy! Even as an adult, taking a midday break (preferably with a nap!) is the best way to make sure that no one misses a minute of the magic. Here are some ideas for you and your little one:

    • Even if your three-year-old loves to walk around and explore, I'd make sure that you bring a stroller. Magic Kingdom Park is big and can be tiring, even for a prepared adult! Additionally, a stroller will make it easier to find a cool and relaxing place for your little one to nap.
    • There's a little side street on Main Street U.S.A., right before Main Street Bakery, that's sprinkled with tables and chairs. It's a shaded and relaxing spot that's perfect for napping!
    • Next to Pete's Silly Sideshow in Storybook Circus, you'll find two great areas to relax! One is outdoors where you can find several tables and umbrellas, and it's often quiet and not crowded here. The other is right next door to this area, where you'll find a covered area with seats, a water fountain, and even places to charge your phone!
    • Consider checking out the Baby Care Centers located in each of the parks! This is a great place to find restrooms, feeding areas, rocking chairs, and even a small store area for all of your necessities.
Before your trip, take a little time to download and explore the My Disney Experience app! You'll be able to find all of these locations by using the map feature, allowing you to pick the spot that works best for you. Additionally, this app lets you check wait times for attractions and even mobile order food! This is my favorite way to minimize waits and maximize the fun. And be sure to check out how to plan for preschoolers during your trip to Walt Disney World Resort!

If you have any other questions, please write to us again, Ashley! We're always happy to help.
