Is there a place to store your belongings if you stay in a tent at Fort Wilderness?

Hi, Patricia! Ah, the call of the wilderness has beckoned you. There is so much going on at Disney's Fort Wilderness resort, you may have to tack on an extra day or two just to get to do it all.

The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort offer many wonderful amenities. With lush landscaping, clean comfort stations, and great dining options, it is a great way for families to enjoy the great outdoors while on a Walt Disney World vacation.

The tent campsites are actually large enough for two tents or a pop-up camper, and each has it's own picnic table and charcoal grill. There's room as well for your vehicle.

Which brings me to the where you store your belongings part of this answer.

The front desk at the campground has small boxes that you can use to store small valuable items. Anything that won't fit in the small boxes (think safety deposit box size), you can lock in your vehicle. Most tent campers leave your normal every day items just in the tent.

There are companies that sell portable safes. We have a PacSafe duffle bag, which is big enough for something like a laptop computer. The bag is durable with a locking top, and then it can be attached to a tree or the leg of the picnic table with the attached cable.

I hope you get to enjoy many of the wonderful recreational activities available at Fort Wilderness on your upcoming trip. Thanks so much for your question.
