Hi Samantha and welcome to planDisney!
Thanks so much for stopping by, today, with your great question about attractions which may be closed for refurbishment, at
Walt Disney World, during your visit, in February 2026.
February will be here before you know it, by the way. Once Christmas has been and gone, you'll only have a few weeks to wait until you're arriving at The Most Magical Place On Earth - so exciting!
Top Tip - It looks like you'll be arriving on the last day of the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts so, if you'd like to experience this Special Event, you might want to schedule a visit to EPCOT, that day.
Going back to your question, Samantha, the best place to check for any scheduled closures is the
Hours and Events Calendar which can be found on the Walt Disney World website.
You can select the dates that you would like to view by clicking on "Change Date" at the top right hand side of the page and any planned closures will be listed beneath each of the Theme Parks. You can view these by clicking on "Closed For Refurbishment."
Although information is only available to view for dates up to and including 7th February 2026, as of right now, you should find that information has been released for the dates of your trip, in just a couple of weeks' time.
As I'm sure you will appreciate, things like this are always subject to change but, to help you plan in advance, I can tell you that the following attractions, at
Magic Kingdom Park, are currently closed and not due to re-open until Spring 2026:-
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Range Spin
In addition to this, over at Animal Kingdom Theme Park,
DINOSAUR, will be closing permanently at the beginning of February 2026.
Despite not being able to completely answer your question, I hope that the information provided has been of help and that you have the most brilliant time.
Wishing you a magical trip filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
Emma
