Which place would be better to eat Thanksgiving dinner at, Trail's End or Whispering Canyon Cafe? Are those both buffets?

    Hi Meredith,

Our family has enjoyed numerous Thanksgivings at Disney World. It is the perfect place to kick off the holiday season.

Trail's End, located at Fort Wilderness, is a buffet location that typically offers ribs, fried chicken, vegetables, mashed potatoes, salads, soup and dessert. We have yet to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner there but I have been told the menu is altered to include a more typical holiday spread.

Whispering Canyon Cafe, located inside the towering lobby at Wilderness Lodge, is a family style restaraunt where the all you can eat food selections are brought to your table. We have enjoyed Thanksgiving here many times and the selection was mouth-watering.

While both locations offer similar all you can eat style menus, you may finds a slightly larger selection at the Trail's End buffet, however I would recommend Whispering Canyon Cafe. The Wilderness Lodge is breath-taking during the Christmas holiday with the stone fireplace and towering Christmas tree inside the cozy lobby and the restaraunt open floor seating looking out onto the lobby area is gorgeous.

As you can imagine, seating times for Thanksgiving are popular at all Disney restaraunt locations, so if you have not made reservations yet, I urge you to call 407-939-3463 right away so you can get your reservation.

    Enjoy!
