Is the Pixar Play Zone still open at the Contemporary? It is no longer on the Walt Disney World website. We were hoping to take advantage when we go this summer.

Hello there, Danielle! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for stopping by and asking a wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation question!

It is, unfortunately, true that Pixar Play Zone at Disney’s Contemporary Resort has closed. Its last day of operation was March 30th, 2019. As sad as it is to see this popular experience leave, there are a few other fun options for childcare at Walt Disney World Resort!

If you’re interested in in-room babysitting, Kid’s Nite Out is an independent childcare service that offers to babysit right from your Disney Resort hotel room! Childcare professionals will provide your little ones between the ages of 6 months to 12 years with games, arts and crafts, reading and other activities.

Camp Dolphin is another childcare activity center that can be found at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel. Adults can enjoy a night out while their children have the opportunity to play video and board games, read books, and even make new friends! All children attending Camp Dolphin must be potty trained.

The final childcare adventure is Captain Hook’s Pirate Crew that takes place at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. Your children will be joining Captain Hook and his crew for an evening of dinner and pirate fun! This experience runs from 5:00 pm until 8:30 pm and is catered towards children between the ages of 4 years old to 12 years old.

I hope you, and your children, have a fun evening at Walt Disney World Resort!
