Welcome to planDisney, Travis! Your trip is coming up quickly, and I’m thrilled to help you fine-tune the details so you can have the most magical time.
As a Guest of the
Pixar Place Hotel, you have a few great options for reaching the main entrance of either theme park at the
Disneyland Resort. While there are no shuttles or trams from any of the Disneyland Resort hotels, you can take advantage of the
Disneyland Monorail! The boarding station is located in
Downtown Disney, just a few steps from the hotel’s security entrance. This “highway in the sky” is a delightful way to travel straight into Tomorrowland. It’s also a great option at the end of the day, offering one last sweeping view of the park before you head back.
If you're planning to visit Disney California Adventure Park, you can also use the exclusive entrance available through
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel. You'll need to show your theme park ticket and confirm you have a park reservation for that day. If you’re entering during Early Entry hours, you’ll also need to show your Pixar Place Hotel room key, so be sure to have it handy! Just a heads-up: the Grand Californian entrance may experience occasional restrictions during peak times like Early Entry, standard park opening, or special events.
Finally, there’s always the classic option: strolling through the Downtown Disney District. Once you’ve passed through the security checkpoint, it’s about a 10–15-minute walk to the Esplanade and the Main Entrances to Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. I’ve made that walk many times, and I’ll tell you, there’s nothing like hearing the music of the Disneyland Resort to get you hyped for a Disney Day. Plus, my wife loves ordering her morning coffee for pickup along the way!
No matter how you choose to enter or exit the parks, Travis, I hope your visit is truly enchanting. If you have any other questions as you prepare, please don’t hesitate to visit us again here at planDisney. My fellow panelists and I are always delighted to help!
Wishing you the most magical time,
David
