Hey there, Amber!
I get super giddy when a fellow Floridian and
Annual Passholder stops by to ask us a question at planDisney. Each Walt Disney World Resort annual pass has its different blockout dates and number of reservations, but when it comes to park hopping, it’s all the same.
As of now, all Guests (Annual Passholders included) have to scan into their reserved theme park before they begin their park hopping adventure. Park hopping officially starts at 2 p.m. and you do not need a theme park reservation for the subsequent theme parks.
With any annual pass, you can visit an available theme park after 2 p.m. (except for Magic Kingdom Park on the weekends) without a theme park reservation. This means there’s no need to scan into a reserved theme park that day.
AN EXTRA GEM: And the even cooler news, Amber? Starting on January 9, 2024, you can begin park hopping at any time of day! However, you do need to scan into a reserved theme park first. So, no waiting until 2 p.m. at all.
I hope that you found this answer helpful, Amber. When you visit this month before your blockout dates start, definitely check out the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. You’ll love completing the Cookie Stroll and hearing the storytellers around the World Showcase. Please don’t hesitate to
revisit us here at planDisney if you have any other questions about your many upcoming visits to The Most Magical Place on Earth.
Magic always,
LeAndra
