Happy New Year, Debbie, and welcome to planDisney! I'm a Florida resident and Annual Passholder, so I'd love to help you compare your options for adding a little extra magic to your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort visit. Between you and me, I admit I'm somewhat math-challenged, but let's grab our calculators and see what we can cipher.
Just to let you know, pricing for tickets and passes is subject to change, so these numbers might not be accurate in the future. Let's start by looking at a one-day, one-park ticket for this Saturday. Since Florida resident discounts don't apply to one-day tickets, you would pay the
standard price of around $150-$170 for admission, depending on the theme park you choose. If you add the
Park Hopper Option, you'll pay around $236 for a one-day ticket.
Next, let's talk about upgrading your annual pass. The
current price for the Disney Sorcerer Pass is around $1000, which is $200 more than the Disney Pirate Pass. Please remember that if you upgrade your pass, you must pay the difference in full, and your expiration date will remain the same. So, if your current pass expires in a couple of months, you'll only get the benefits of the new pass during that time.
You should be able to purchase a one-day admission or upgrade your pass online through your My Disney Experience account; look for the "Upgrade Pass" button in the Ticketing section. You can also take care of either in person at
Guest Relations at the theme parks or the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. I recommend you call the
Annual Passholders line soon to confirm your best option. Their math skills might exceed mine!
Debbie, I hope you crunch the numbers and make some magical memories with your family on your upcoming visit. Please
stop by planDisney anytime!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
