    We have pirate pass, we have friends coming in town (buying hopper tix) we want to start our day at HS, hop to Epcot, end at MK. It will be a Saturday so we have to make a reservation at MK (right?), but we want to start at HS, so how do we go about this?

    Though changes to theme park reservations went into effect for date-based tickets on January 9, 2024, Annual Passholders are still required to make theme park reservations for most visits. I'm heading down with a friend in a few days and while she didn't need to secure any reservations with her date-specific Park Hopper Option tickets, as an Annual Passholder I went ahead and made a reservation where we planned to begin each day. We'll be tackling a 4-parks in 1-day challenge beginning in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and eventually ending in Magic Kingdom Park. I secured a theme park reservation for Animal Kingdom but I'll be free to hop to the other parks, subject to capacity, without making an additional reservation.

    There are a few stipulations to theme park reservations I'd like to mention. First, Annual Passholders do not need to make reservations if they will be arriving after 2 p.m. The exception is for Saturday and Sunday visits to Magic Kingdom Park which require theme park reservations even for arrivals after 2 p.m. Annual Passholders also don't need theme park reservations on select "Good-to-Go Days" which you'll see circled on the blockout date calendar.

    Assuming you plan to begin your visit before 2 p.m. this coming Saturday, you'll need to secure a reservation for Disney's Hollywood Studios. Once you scan in, you'll be able to visit EPCOT and Magic Kingdom Park, subject to capacity, without making any other reservations. If Magic Kingdom Park was the only park you planned to visit on Saturday, you'd need a reservation there, regardless of your arrival time.

    I'd like to remind you that the Disney Skyliner will be unavailable to EPCOT International Gateway through January 27. I always enjoy a leisurely ride on the Friendship Boats between Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. You can also walk between them which will take approximately 20 minutes.
