Ahoy, Michelle!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Last year, my family sailed to
Alaska on the magnificent
Disney Wonder around the same time as you will sail this summer! It was one of my family's favorite vacations because it was so different than any Caribbean or Bahamian cruise we had experienced before! We couldn't get enough of the scenery and watching for wildlife as we cruised along. We also loved the adventures we experienced in port! One of the differences we noticed was there was not a Pirate Night on this particular itinerary. Fireworks are not allowed for environmental reasons so the very talented entertainment staff offered a Pixar Pals Party and a Frozen themed experience,
"Freezing the Night Away." The Pixar Pals Party was held in the Grand Lobby Atrium and featured some of our favorite Pixar friends such as Woody, Buzz, Sulley, Mike and many others! The "Freezing the Night Away" party was held out on deck while we cruised by snow-capped mountains! The setting definitely made us feel like we had been transported to Arendelle!
I did notice a few pirate themed activities were offered in the youth areas and in some of the lounges on our cruise. I suggest checking the daily cruise newsletter, the Personal Navigator and the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for all the ship's happenings!
Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Michelle! Please let us know if you have any further questions about your cruise to the Last Frontier!
Have a magical day!
Nancy
