Is Pin trading with King Pin still an activity that is available at Animal Kingdom Lodge? If so what times and days?

Hi there, Jama! Thanks for pin-pointing your question our way here at planDisney!

For many Guests, Disney Pin Trading is more than a hobby...it’s a delightful treasure hunt filled with surprises, smiles, and a whole lot of pixie dust. Over the years, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Jambo House has earned quite the reputation among pin enthusiasts, thanks in part to a beloved character affectionately known as “King Pin.”

In the past, King Pin could often be found near the Zawadi Marketplace Gift Shop on select afternoons, typically Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1:45 PM to 2:45 PM, inviting Guests to step onto his royal red carpet and pick from his whimsical mystery pin bag. He became a bit of a TikTok star and a fan favorite for his fun-loving spirit and impressive pin collection!

However, I did a little digging (and even placed a call to Guest Services) and it seems that King Pin hasn’t been officially listed on the resort’s activity schedule for several months. While they couldn’t confirm whether he’s still making appearances, the good news is that pin trading is still very much alive and well at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge! You’ll find pin boards hosted by Cast Members, particularly around Zawadi Marketplace, and trading typically takes place throughout the week.

If you’re planning to be at Animal Kingdom Lodge, I recommend stopping by the Front Desk or checking the resort’s recreation calendar once you arrive. You might just uncover a hidden gem!

Wishing you lots of magical finds and happy trading, Jama!
