Hei Hei there, Kelsey.
What can I say except you're welcome here at planDisney? I'm so glad you sailed out to find where the sky meets the sea and found your way here! It looks like your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just beyond the horizon, so let that final countdown commence.
As a seasoned Disney Pin Trader myself, I'm elated to hEAR you are interested in pin trading on your upcoming trip and am happy to report pin trading is indeed happening at Walt Disney World Resort. While the experience is a bit different than it used to be, it's still tons of fun!
There are new ways to pin trade now, including Mickey-themed boards and mystery trading boxes. The Mickey-themed boards are Mickey-shaped and can be found in many locations throughout the parks and Resorts. At the Mickey-themed boards, you simply point to the pin you want to trade for, and the Cast Member will switch the pins out for you. Pin trading mystery boxes are wooden boxes with tiny numbered drawers. To pin trade in this scenario, you tell the Cast Member which numbered drawer you want to trade for, and they will show you the mystery pin that's hidden inside it. You can then choose to trade for that pin or not.
You can find pin trading locations throughout all
four theme parks,
Disney Springs, and select
Disney Resorts Collection hotels. These locations should be designated on guide maps too. I've found most merchandise locations have some sort of pin trading available, so just keep an eye out for the boards or boxes. Of course, you can also just ask a Cast Member if they have pin trading available when you walk into a gift shop. Your Resort should have some sort of pin trading board or system available, so as a Cast Member when and where you can trade pins on site.
Kelsey, I'm off to return the Heart of Te Fiti, but I hope you are even more excited about your vacation now that you know you can pin trade to your heart's content. Enjoy every moment of the
50th Anniversary Celebration and the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival on your trip. Please stop back by planDisney again one day, because there's no telling how far we'll go to find the answers you need.
