Is there pin trading on Disney cruises? We are sailing on the Dream and Magic. Also, can you get water in the restaurants for free? I noticed there is a fee for bottled water. Thanks!

Welcome aboard, Lynette! You are looking forward to not just one, but two cruises with Disney? What a treat! You must be so excited!

My kids love to trade pins on the Disney cruise ships, and there are plenty of opportunities to do this, so bring those pins and lanyards along! Cast Members around the ship who wear pin lanyards are always happy to trade with guests. We've found that the Cast Members standing outside of Cabanas always wear lanyards, so that's a great place to start! Plus, the Cast Members in the gift shops have lanyards and pin trading books behind the desk if you ask. They'll be happy to pull those out so you can peruse the pages and pages of pins! On the final night of the cruise, you can experience Officer Pin Trading Night. The officers in their uniforms will be in the atrium lobby ready to trade with guests. My daughter traded so much on the Dream once that she was asked to be the Official Pin Trader of the cruise, and got to stand up with the officers at Officer Pin Trading Night and was even given a special lanyard and pins to trade with guests! What a fun night!

I am a huge water drinker and always order water in the main dining restaurants. Although it's not bottled water, it is filtered, as is all the water on the ship. I'm pretty particular about the taste of my water but have found that the tap water onboard is better than fine for me because it's all so highly filtered. Of course, bottled water is available for purchase onboard or you can bring your own bottled water on in your carry-on luggage.

I hope that helps as you continue to plan, Lynette! Stop back again if you have other questions before you set sail!
