Hi ya, Dana! You'll be hanging out with your old pal Mickey in just a few short days! Disney Pin Collecting is fun, and it can become quite addicting, too! I remember buying my boys their first Pin Starter Set many yEARs ago, and they quickly learned the process of Pin Trading with Cast Members. My current favorite pins are the ones from the Mickey Food Flair Set found at multiple locations on property, including
The Emporium.
In 2016, Walt Disney World launched it's first
PinQuest Scavenger Hunt in Magic Kingdom Park, and several more have followed, with the latest one being in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park last fall. Unfortunately, that one ended in January, and while there has been buzz about another one starting soon, I haven't seen any official announcement.
The good news is that your trip falls during the
2019 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. Although there aren't any pin trading activities, I'd highly recommend doing one of the scavenger hunt adventures while you're there. The first is Spike's Pollen Nation Exploration, and to participate, you will need to purchase a map and sticker set from Pin Central, Port of Entry. Just in time for Easter, there is also the Egg-stravaganza Scavenger Hunt from April 5-21, and it takes you around World Showcase while you search for eggs hidden within each country. Maps can be found at three locations in the Park: Disney Traders, World Traveler, or Pin Central. After completing the scavenger hunt, you can turn in your map at Disney Traders for a sp-egg-tacular surprise!
I hope you have an egg-citing time during your trip, Dana!
