    Has "Picnic in the Park" expanded beyond the "Animal Kingdom" yet. We are staying at the Contemporary to be near our beloved Magic Kingdom for our family celebrations. Is it in the Kingdom yet?

    No, unfortunately they have not extended a similar "Picnic in the Park" offering into the Magic Kingdom. However it is not completely out of the question to pull something like this off, even without a formal program.

    the first choice for me would be to grab a few to-go sandwiches from the Contempo Cafe (or for someone reading this but staying at a different resort, they could go to their resort's quick service location) and take them to the park with you. Toss them into a locker when you enter the park, and then all you need to do is go back and get them before dining. There are tons of great locations around the Magic Kingdom where you can pull off a picnic. In particular I like the grounds right in the shadow of Cinderella Castle.

    Another option is to swing by Main Street Bakery and grab some of the great options there. They have gourmet sandwiches, and it is not far from there to several great picnic locations.
