Do I have to pick the reservation date to the person I’m giving the tickets too, or can they?

    Hi there, Allison!

Welcome to planDisney and we're so happy to see you here with your question! How wonderful that you're going to be purchasing Disneyland Resort Theme Park Tickets for someone else! That's a very thoughtful and generous gesture on your part, and we're happy to help walk you through that process.

When you purchase tickets through the Disneyland website, part of that process is to select dates for your upcoming visit. Once these dates are selected and the transaction is complete, reservations are automatically created for you in the system. You won't be able to checkout without selecting dates, but they aren't set in stone. Once you give the tickets to the appropriate recipient and they link those tickets to their Disneyland account, they may navigate to Ticket and Reservation Details and click on "Make or Modify Park Reservations" to change those dates as necessary. Be sure to have them check the Availability Calendar first before making any changes.

Once your visit dates are set, consider making any dining reservations that you might be interested in securing. Dining reservations are made available 60 days in advance and some of the more popular venues fill up incredibly quickly. Two of my favorites are the Lamplight Lounge and Blue Bayou Restaurant

Allison, I hope that was helpful for you and clears things up for you. Please feel free to write back to us again if you have further questions. You're always welcome here at planDisney! Until next time!

Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
