I’ve searched everywhere and can’t find info about visiting Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa without staying there. We’re coming to Hawaii for work and have one free day. What can a family do at Aulani if not resort guests?

Aloha, Joseph! Thanks so much for making a return trip to planDisney. I see that you're planning to make a quick visit to Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, and I'll be happy to share what's available for your family to enjoy during your time at Disney's Hawaiian outpost!

Good for you for having a trip to Hawaii to look forward - I must admit, I'm jealous! Although you aren't staying at Aulani, you can certainly visit the resort and it's well worth making the trip to Ko Olina. While there isn't a day pass, you can use the self-parking or valet parking and enjoy some time exploring the stunning Hawaiian art and architecture that is at the heart of the resort. Day Guests can also take advantage of the excellent dining options, the AMAZING Laniwai Spa, and the resort shops. I definitely recommend making reservations in advance if you hope to eat at 'AMA'AMA or Makahiki - The Bounty of the Islands, or if you're planning to enjoy some pampering at the spa!  Aulani offers complimentary parking for Day Guests who spend $100 or more at several different venues on site - be sure to check the FAQ for the specific time frames, as they're different from place to place.

While Day Guests cannot access the pools and beach equipment at Aulani, the resort sits on the beautiful Ko Olina lagoons, which are an amazing place to enjoy the beach and snorkel. We've made a day trip in the past when visiting Oahu and parked in the public parking at Lagoon #4 (pro tip - arrive early in the day to snag a spot!). You can rent snorkel equipment and enjoy an up-close view of the undersea scene at any of the lagoons, or bring chairs and soak up some sunshine.

Joseph, I hope these tips are helpful so that you and your'Ohana can enjoy a delightful day where the sky meets the sea! Please come back and see us again at planDisney if we can lend a helping hand with any other vacation planning questions - we're always happy to assist!

    A hui hou,
