Are pets allowed? I have a family member going on our trip with a small puppy is she allowed to go into the parks with us?

Hi there, April! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for much for reaching out and allowing us to help you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

I don’t know about you but I consider all of my pets to be members of my family! This makes it incredibly difficult to leave them behind during our visits to Walt Disney World Resort. Only service animals are permitted in the theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs so Guests are not able to take pet dogs into these areas. Fortunately, though, there are a few options for including your furry friends in your family vacation outside of the parks!

If your family member would like to bring her pet with her to Walt Disney World Resort, there are a select few dog-friendly Disney Resort hotels she can stay at with her dog. Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and The Cabins at Fort Wilderness all offer designated dog-friendly accommodations. Dogs staying at these locations much be well-behaved, leased in public spaces, and properly vaccinated.

If she would prefer boarding her dog, Best Friends Pet Care is an on-property option! This locations offers a few different levels of accommodations for your pup and is incredibly easy to access from any Disney Resort hotel. With a large staff, a massive indoor-outdoor space, and luxury suites, any pet staying here would feel as though they were on vacation as well!

Hopefully, this information will help your family member and her dog have an excellent vacation!
