Hiya Martha!
Welcome to planDisney. I extend my greetings from Pluto, as he would be delighted that you are making sure the family's furry members have as magical time as the human ones!
The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are fantastic! We brought along our pup the last time we stayed there, and he had a great time! The Cabins are one of four Resorts that are pet-friendly (I should clarify -
service animals are allowed at every Resort and Theme Park), and with the nature and trees and wide-open spaces, I think our outdoorsy pets would agree that it's the best of the bunch!
All of the Cabins accommodate dogs. If you are planning on a campsite, you can request a
pet-friendly loop (closer to the relief areas) when you make your reservations online by clicking "Add" and then selecting "Room and Amenity Requests." Remember, you can only have two dogs per cabin; they need to remain leashed outside, properly vaccinated, and, of course, be well-behaved (but who isn't at Disney!).
Martha, if you need other pet-friendly options,
Art of Animation, the
Yacht Club, and
Port Orleans - Riverside all have dog-friendly rooms. And while you are enjoying the parks, your pup can have a pampered play date at
Best Friends Pet Hotel. Feel free to run back with any other questions.
Paws Up!
