Are personalized Disney Gift Cards still available? Back in 2010 on our first trip to Disney World, I ordered personalized gift cards with our kids pictures on them. Today, I see that that option is no longer available.

Thanks for bringing another great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Starlette!

I remember those personalized Disney Gift Cards, too. Unfortunately, though, they are no longer available. While the “TaDa Mickey” gift cards are available at various grocery stores and big box retailers throughout the U.S., there are currently two additional options available at disneygiftcard.com (one with the Disney Princesses and another Halloween-inspired design with Mickey and Minnie). If you can wait until you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort to purchase the gift cards for your vacation, though, you’ll find lots of cute options available at shops throughout the Theme Parks and Walt Disney World Resort hotels.

Since you’ll be arriving while the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is in full swing, you might also want to pick up a couple of these adorable Remy gift cards. What I love about these cards is that they’re wearable! Each comes on a wrist coil with a clasp that also clicks into place. I like to keep one either around my wrist or attached to the strap of my backpack for quick and easy access.

Did you know that Disney Gift Cards are also reloadable? That means that if you still have those personalized cards from 2010, you should be able to bring them with you and have additional funds loaded onto them when you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort! You can also login using the same credentials you use for your My Disney Experience account on the Disney Gift Cards website and transfer balances between gift cards. If you’ve purchased or received multiple Disney Gift Cards, you can also consolidate the balance onto one card!

I would also suggest taking a picture of the back of each of your cards (as well as the receipt showing their purchase) in case they are ever lost or stolen. That way you can report them and have them “frozen” so no one else can use the balance.

Hopefully these tips will help you enjoy the convenience of using Disney Gift Cards while on your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, Starlette! Please let us know if there are any additional questions we can answer for you.
