Does the person whos name is on the resort reservation have to be there for check-in if we are arriving separately/on different days?

    Hiya Bailey!

Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for bringing your question our way.

There are so many reasons to love staying in the magic! Thanks to the convenience of proximity to the theme parks and complimentary transportation, it’s easy to see why my family loves staying at Disney Resort hotels; but there’s so much more! With incredible pools, dining options, and friendly Cast Members helping you feel right at home, you can’t help but feel immersed in the magic!

Bailey, you’ve asked a great question. The primary Guest does not have to arrive first for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation to begin. First, please ensure you and the primary Guest on the reservation are linked together under the Family and Friends list and that you are also linked to the hotel reservation. The primary Guest would need to complete the Online Check-In process before arrival. As long as you’re linked under the Disney Resort hotel reservation, you should be able to use your MagicBand or the My Disney Experience Mobile App to unlock your Disney Resort hotel room door

Bailey, I do hope you take advantage of Early Theme Park Entry during your stay. This perk allows Guests of Disney Resort hotels to enter any of the four theme parks 30 minutes before the official park opening! During this time, my family likes to head to one of our must-do attractions. These are usually the more popular attractions that typically have a long wait as the day progresses, and it feels good to get it done earlier in the day when the crowds are limited.

Wishing you an enchanting visit, Bailey!
