When can a person start making reservation to restaurants? Is it 12 eastern time, or 6 AM eastern time time in the morning?

    Hiya Gene!

Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for visiting with your question. Your magical countdown is winding down quickly... how exciting that your Walt Disney World vacation will be here soon!

One of my favorite aspects of planning Disney vacations for my family is selecting some delicious Disney Dining locations for us to enjoy. There are so many tasty and terrifically themed dining venues that it really adds to our overall experience at Disney World. So you've got an excellent strategy to book those awesome dining options as soon as you can!

You can make an advance dining reservation beginning 60 days prior to your arrival date, starting at 6:00 AM Eastern Time. If you will be a guest staying at a Disney Resort, when your eligibility window opens up you will be allowed to book dining reservations for the duration of your stay (up to 10 days). All other guests can make dining reservations starting 60 days in advance of each dining date. Mark your calendar and set your alarm clock... because based on your arrival date, your window will be opening up early this Wednesday morning on 10/22. Woo hoo!

It's so true that a well timed table service reservation can be the perfect break to a busy park day. On days when we plan to visit Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, I always make a dining reservation for nearby Boma - Flavors of Africa to complete our safari themed adventure! A new discovery that I absolutely love is Sebastian's Bistro. This family-style, all you care to enjoy dinner is absolutely delicious and is a bit more budget-friendly than its similar counterpart, the famously popular 'Ohana. You can easily ride the Disney Skyliner from EPCOT or Hollywood Studios in order to reach Sebastian's. We were even treated to a view of EPCOT's evening fireworks through the dining room windows! It was an incredible evening overall, and if you're looking to try something new I highly recommend it.

Gene, I hope this helps. Please send me another message at planDisney if you have any other questions. Sending pixie-dust your way and wishing you have an awesome time at Walt Disney World!

    See ya' real soon,
    Tami
