Are there in person meet and greets with characters right now?

    Hello there, Audie!

Welcome to planDisney!  It is exciting to hear that you will be returning to the magic next month.  I think we all could use a hug from our pal Mickey Mouse after the events of this year!

Physical distancing is a key principle of Walt Disney World Resort's phased reopening plan, so character meet and greets still look a little different.  Instead of a hug, you can wave to your favorite pals during surprise appearances throughout the day and during character cavalcades in each park.  Practice your selfie skills as you don't want to miss the chance to capture your excitement if you are lucky enough to see the Pumpkin King himself, Jack Skellington, during your vacation next month!

When my family visited in July, I found the unexpected arrival of characters throughout the day to be a fun treat!  I enjoyed the banter of Cinderella's stepsisters from the balcony at the rear of Cinderella Castle.  My daughter loved the Princess Promenade at EPCOT, which we were able to catch along the main World Showcase walkway outside of the Norway pavilion.  At Disney's Hollywood Studios, the characters take a ride down Hollywood Boulevard in custom cars, something that delighted my son!  Character experiences are always subject to change, so keep your eyes and ears open as you never know who may surprise you!

I hope you will visit us again at planDisney if you have any additional questions about your upcoming vacation, Audie!

    See ya real soon!  Angie
