Lillian,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
In my family's earlier vacations, the thought of my youngsters having charging privileges sent a shiver up my spine! But now, as teenagers, we are enjoying trips where they get some autonomy to go out on their own. Let's just say that the
Pineapple Lanai at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort has two new semi-permanent residents these days, even if we are not staying at that resort!
All of our family's bands and
My Disney Experience App accounts use the exact same pin. We did not have to set up unique pins. They now have the freedom to do some exploring, make some food and souvenir purchases, and feel some of that freedom on their vacation too.
PERK: My wife and I can sit by the pool, and not have to hand-hold the entire trip!
BONUS TIP #1
Disney Gift cards are a great item for kids to list on birthday or Christmas wish lists. My teenagers have a hard time finding gift idea suggestions for relatives that are reasonably priced, so this gives them a lot of flexibility. It also gives the gift giver a lot of room to give what they deem appropriate.
BONUS TIP #2Remember that you can always check your balance from your My Disney Experience App. This means you can track what they are buying and know if they are staying on budget.
Please feel free to
write me back directly with any follow-up questions.
Have a Magical Vacation!
