    What are the perks of staying at a Disneyland hotel while visiting the parks. Also include amenities for a person who is in need of a motorized cart

    Hi Christina! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for coming to us with your question!

    I'm so excited for you to be visiting the Disneyland Resort later this year. You're going to be there during my favorite time of year: Halloween! I love seeing the characters in their costumes and if you didn't get enough candy from trick-or-treating, the snacks that they create for the occasion will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth!

    You ask a great question, Christina. When I visit, I try to stay at a Disneyland Resort Hotel whenever I can because of all the perks. I've detailed some of them below:

    • You'll enjoy close proximity to the Parks, including special entrances into Disney California Adventure for Guests of Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel. After a long day at the Parks, you'll appreciate a short trek back to the hotel. You can even take a mid-day break if you need.
    • Early Entry: Disneyland Resort Hotel Guests are allowed into the Parks 30 minutes before the general public and enjoy a nearly empty Park. You can get a lot done in that time if you plan wisely.
    • ECV delivery: through ScooterBug, a Disney Featured Provider, you can get an ECV (electric conveyance vehicle) delivered to your hotel for a length of stay rental. Otherwise, you'll have to rent one at the rental location right outside the Parks.
    • Next Day Package Delivery: select locations in the Theme Parks will be able to deliver your purchases to your hotel for next day pickup. 
    • Direct-to-Room Service: use your phone to open your hotel room door through the Disneyland Mobile App, which is super convenient.
    • My favorite: Theming!! One of the best things about Disney is their ability to immerse you in their worlds and environments. When staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel, you never feel like you're leaving the Magic because it extends into your accommodations! From Character Meals at the restaurants (Goofy's Kitchen is my personal recommendation) to the shops, you'll feel like you never fully left the Parks. You'll even find the Resort Hotels spookily decorated at that time of year as well!

    Be on the lookout for tickets to go on sale for Oogie Boogie Bash, which has been confirmed for 2023. It's my favorite after hours event by far and tickets typically sell out very quickly for this party.
