Arrgh, Jennifer!
Don't worry, me hearty, Captain Hook will not make you walk the plank if you show up at dinner in your pirate garb even if it includes shorts! In fact, Disney Cruise Line encourages all the landlubbers onboard to don their pirate attire for the
Pirate Night festivities!
All the swashbucklin' fun will be listed in your cruise newsletter, the Personal Navigator and on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. It will be chock full of events starting late afternoon like the Disney Junior Pirate and Princess Dance Party and the action packed pirate game show that involves spinning the "Wheel of Destiny" at A Pirate's Life For Me. Did you also know you can test your pirate knowledge by participating in pirate trivia or craft up your own pirate treasure with the cruise staff? There is so much to experience when Disney Cruise Line celebrates Mickey's Pirates in the Caribbean. And the fun doesn't stop there. Captain Mickey and his pirate crew will host a Pirate Celebration on deck (weather permitting) between the first and second dinner.
Later in the evening, the Caribbean waters will be brightly illuminated from the spectacular Buccaneer Blast! My two favorite spots to watch Disney's fireworks at sea are on Deck 12 along the inside rail on the port (left) or starboard (right) side of the ship. Both of these spots will give you a great view of the pirate show and the sparkling night sky! You'll want to get there early (typically 20-25 minutes) because it's one of the most popular events aboard Disney Cruise Line.
I hope you and your buccaneers have an absolute blast on your cruise next week, Jennifer!
Bon Voyage,
Nancy
