Fireworks at Magic Kingdom

    Do people typically leave after the 6:50 fireworks show on NYE at Magic Kingdom? Do you think I could get into the park at that point ?

    Hey there, Kristen!

    Welcome to planDisney and thank you for bringing us a Fantasmic! Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. I can't believe you're currently on-site celebrating New Year's Eve at The Most Magical Place on Earth! I can't imagine being in a more special place to welcome in a brand new year.

    Kristen, this is one of the most popular days of the year to visit the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. According to the Hours & Events Calendar, three parks (Disney's Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and Magic Kingdom Park) are offering special nighttime entertainment offerings in celebration of New Year's Eve! At the time of writing, it appears that all three of these theme parks have no remaining theme park availability for today. If your ticket type includes the Park Hopper option and requires a theme park reservation, you'll be able to start your day at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park. Then, pending availability, you may be able to hop to one of the other theme parks later in the day. You'll likely get a notification in the My Disney Experience mobile app if/when a theme park reaches capacity for the day.

    My best recommendation is to talk to the Cast Members at the theme park main entrance for the most up-to-date information on theme park availability, Kristen. It's hard to predict if or when Guests will leave the theme parks, but I'd imagine that many Guests visiting today are hoping to be inside a theme park until midnight to ring in the New Year! I'll keep my fingers crossed in the hopes you'll be among them, making a special New Year's wish on Main Street, U.S.A. as the clock strikes twelve.
