Hi Amanda! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
I am so excited for your family to visit Walt Disney World Resort during
the holiday season! This is my favorite time to visit. With all the holiday entertainment, amazing decorations, and
yummy holiday snacks, it truly is the "most wonderful time of the year"!
As the mom of a family of 6, I completely understand the challenges of finding affordable accommodations for larger families.
The maximum occupancy for standard rooms at
Value Resort Hotels is 4 Guests. You might be interested in Family Suites available at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort and
Disney's All-Star Music Resort. Family Suites sleep up to 6 guests and have a small kitchenette area with a dorm-size refrigerator and a microwave. Family Suites also have
two bathrooms, which is so helpful for larger families!
Accommodations perfect for a family of 5 are the "5th Sleeper" rooms available at some
Moderate Resort Hotels.
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside both offer some rooms with this option, which have 2 Queen Beds and 1 Child-Size Pull-Down bed.
For a bit more space, check out
The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Cabins sleep up to 6 guests and have a fully equipped kitchen, making it easy to save by preparing some meals right at your resort.
I would go ahead and book the
Disney Resort Hotel that best fits your family, and keep your eye on the
Special Offers page. If a discount for your dates becomes available, you may be able to
call the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line to modify your reservation and apply the discount.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions as you
plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. We'll be happy to help you every step of the way.
