Hi Judy!
Fellow "Sweet Home" Alabamian here - thanks for visiting us at planDisney!
Isn't it wonderful to live close enough to Walt Disney World Resort to be able to drive down for a magical vacation? It's an eight-hour drive for my family, and we've made the journey many, many times! We love the freedom of having our vehicle with us and being able to get from place to place in the comfort of our own car.
While having your own vehicle is nice, Guests also have the option to take advantage of Disney's complimentary transportation options once they arrive at their resort.
Bus,
boat,
Monorail,
Disney Skyliner - there are so many fun, convenient, and FREE ways to explore the magic of Walt Disney World!
There have been numerous times when I've vacationed with my adult friends, and we've all brought a vehicle! I'm happy to let you know that as long as all four guests are listed on your resort reservation, there shouldn't be an issue with
parking a car for each guest. When you arrive, you'll just need to verify your reservation with the security guard at the entrance of the resort. You'll probably be asked to show your driver's license upon entry for the first time. Once you're all checked in, you will be able to use your resort room key or
Disney MagicBand for re-entry!
Did you know that Walt Disney World resort guests enjoy
complimentary parking at all four Walt Disney World theme parks? Whether you're planning to experience the enchantment of
Magic Kingdom Park, the blend of innovation and culture at
EPCOT, step into the world of showbiz at
Disney's Hollywood Studios, or journey into the heart of nature at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, standard theme park parking is included. Guests can choose to upgrade to preferred parking for a small fee.
I hope this helps with your planning! Please come back and visit us here at planDisney if you have more questions before you arrive - we're happy to share tips and advice from our experiences to help you have the best Walt Disney World vacation ever.
