We are 5 people (2 children, 1 adult, 2 seniors) traveling for the weekend of April 15, 16, 17. We want to go to parks on Saturday and Sunday and stay in a hotel inside the park. What dou you recommend?

Hi there, Maria! Welcome to planDisney!

Your family's trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth is quickly approaching! While I am a planner at heart, I'll never turn down a last-minute getaway to Walt Disney World Resort! With that weekend being Easter Weekend, you may find that the Parks are a little busier than usual, but let's see what we can come up with for a plan so that you and your family have the best weekend ever!

Maria, the first definite plans you want to make will be securing your reservation at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel! When searching for a room to accommodate all five of your party members I found a few that I think will work perfectly! Check out Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside.  This Resort has a Guest room called a "5th Sleeper" which includes two Queen beds and a child-size pull-down bed for one of your little ones!  The Resort itself is so beautiful, with sprawling buildings crafted after Southern mansions and an "old-fashioned swimming hole" for a pool!

Another Resort option you might be interested in is a Family Suite at Disney's Art of Animation  Resort!  Here, you'll be located on the same property as the new transportation system, the Disney Skyliner.  This is such an easy and fun way to fly high in the sky to other Resort hotels or the Theme Parks of EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios.  In a Family Suite, your little crew will have a little more space, a little more privacy, a kitchenette AND an extra bathroom!

Right after you book your Guest room, head over to purchase Theme Park Tickets.  Right now, all Walt Disney World Resort Guests are required to have both a valid Theme Park Ticket and a Park Pass Reservation in order to get into their first Park of the day.  As I stated before, you might find that the Parks are pretty busy that weekend and Park Pass Reservations are becoming hard to come by, especially for Magic Kingdom.  However, if you're "dying" to ride The Haunted Mansion or see the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade, you still have options!  If you and your family purchase the Park Hopper Option ticket you'll be able to make your Park Pass Reservations at any of the Parks with availability and then "hop" over to Magic Kingdom any time, any day, after 2 p.m.

I hope you and your family get to experience all the magic that will surround you at Walt Disney World Resort.  Have a wonderful time!

Hi All, I'm Ashley! From the very beginning Walt Disney World Resort has always been a part of my life. As a child I excitedly helped to plan family trips, as a young adult I planned our "happily ever after" right on Disney property, and now I'm lucky enough to plan magical vacations for my three incredible children. When we're not taking in the enchanting experiences of the parks, we're home in Massachusetts, probably planning our next trip! Learn More About Ashley
