People are always asking places to view Wishes and Illuminations. Can you see either one of them from anywhere in the park? What if you are behind the castle in like Fantasyland, can you see them from there? Are there bad spots in the parks?

    Hi Daphne,

Yes a popular question is always the best spot to view Disney's amazing fireworks shows. There are always ideal spots, but the good news is the shows can be seen by most locations in the parks.

A good portion of Illuminations involves a laser show on the water, so while the aerial fireworks can be seen from Future World, the best place to view this show is anywhere along the Seven Seas Lagoon. Any location around the lagoon offers a good view, just watch for overhead trees as they will block a good view of the fireworks.

Wishes is best seen from Main Street because it offers a view of the Castle and any displays presented there. We actually love watching Wishes from Fantasyland, specifically near The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, as the crowds are much smaller and the view is up close. The Liberty Square area and the bridge towards Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain are also very popular locations. Areas away from these will still offer a view of the show, but some portions will be blocked by the buildings and trees and the angle you are at. If you want to avoid the Main Street hub craziness, I would definitely head for Fantasyland.

Hope you enjoy the shows as much as we do!
