Thanks for visiting us at planDisney Cecily. You are in good hands when it comes.
A budget for my
Walt Disney World vacation is important for my family when we are planning. We usually start on the
Vacation Planning Page and check out the new attractions and experiences. We love to check out the
Special Offers all year leading up to our visit. If you have a stay booked and you see a new offer that includes your dates and stay simply call reservations and the promotion can be adjusted. When you select your stay days and location a deposit is required. It is currently a $200 deposit. Prices are subject to change. You can pay in increments, there is no payment plan. You will pay at your own speed and will need to be completed 30 days before your arrival date. No need for pressure to meet certain dates along the way, you can pay at your own pace. I always call in to make my payments, it gives me an opportunity to speak with a professional and they may have a promotion in mind that I missed.
I have three wonderful children and like their father, they love to shop. What I do so that we can have a preset amount for them to spend on souvenirs is purchase
Disney Gift Cards during the year. When we are doing our food shopping and sometimes retailers have a discount when you buy a larger amount. We save these and let them pile up leading up to our visit. My wife hands them out evenly and the kids use them for whatever they want to bring home. We can spend an hour in the
Emporium on Main Street U.S.A. That location has something for everyone in the family. Another tip is to try and checkout together because behind the register you can sometimes purchase a special item. These items vary by season, and for a really nice price, I might add. You just have to spend a qualifying amount. Some of my favorite items we still use to this day. A Mickey beach bag, Mickey and Minnie tapestry woven blankets, and a small Mickey travel bag on wheels are staples in our home that came from those deals.
